UPDATE FRIDAY 28th JULY 2023 (11912)
The very high air temperatures at the Test Location have produced some interesting positive and negative effects on the performances of the two Boats, and there is a detailed analysis of these phenomena on our Members' Website. The results may surprise you...

Certa Cito has completed five more Interviews with Jacqui, and all are being uploaded to the Website during the first week of August, where they can be viewed but not downloaded. The titles are:

5: "The Regulations applying to World Water Speed Records and how they are Enforced"
6: "Learning lessons from the OceanGate debacle"
7: "Rethinking the pros and cons of AI for The Fastest Boat"
8: "The next challenge for the Team"
9: "Is an EV capable of beating rocket/jet power to set the next Land Speed record?"

Members should ensure that they have checked all the details for the October Event, since our recommended Hotel choices are filling rapidly.

UPDATE FRIDAY 9th JUNE 2023  (11751)
Weather conditions were far from ideal, but all of the recent work involving on-water testing was satisfactorily completed on schedule and all performance and reliability targets were met. Great work by the Team, whose sleepless nights were highly productive and are much appreciated!

The Name Sponsor has updated their PR Proposal and a full copy of the latest edition is now on our Members' Website. Please read this carefully and let us have your comments by 25th June 2023.

Engineering work at the current Test Location has pushed back the next Test Session to early July, with dates to be confirmed.

Certa Cito has recorded a new set of four interviews with Jackie, and these are now available online. The subjects are:
1: "Our current work with CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics)"
2: "Working with key Sponsors"
3: "Diversification and Focus"
4: "Beyond The Fastest Boat: What Is Coming Next?"

We are already planning for our next Members' Event, which is tentatively scheduled for September in central Paris. Stay tuned for full details in July!

UPDATE FRIDAY 24th MARCH 2023  (11678)

The splendid recent achievement during Testing has reinforced the decision to attempt an entirely independently scrutinised Record Attempt in autumn 2023. Extended discussions on this possibility will highlight our Easter Members' Event, arranged for 15th and 16th April 2023. A complete programme for this is now available on our Members' Website, and the entire two days of events will be carried live for those unable to attend in person.

A major exhibition of the work in progress in the Mediterranean area is now being completed, and attendees at the Members' Event will be welcome to visit this at any time during the weekend. Certa Citio will be giving presentations there on both days.

A discussion on the new film project entitled "Limits" will also be a key feature of the proceedings.

UPDATE FRIDAY 24th FEBRUARY 2023  (11669)

An array of new projects has been announced this month, with business activity in the Mediterranean and Caribbean for 2022 now proven to have outstripped the previous records set in 2019. The UK, France and Germany have topped the table in terms of numbers, both in value and quantity, but the real surprise was the major growth in orders for the Southern Caribbean islands, with most new Clients and Patrons being sourced from the USA.

The two Boats are now in transit to the Test location and should arrive in early March. Members should keep a close watch on the Website to check when Tests will begin.

UPDATE FRIDAY 3rd FEBRUARY 2023 (11657)

Extreme weather meant that the January Test Sessions for 'The Fastest Boat' could not take place, so these have been rescheduled for early March.

Work on the 'G3' Project is now reaching a critical stage, with the main concept, systems and powerplant decisions made. A one-fifth-scale wind tunnel model has been built, and the first tests with this should appear on the Members' Website by mid-February. The initial design studies of the 'Mach 2' vehicle will also be uploaded by the end of this month.

UPDATE FRIDAY 25TH NOVEMBER 2022 (11304)

Work is in progress to manufacture, install and calibrate a new starboard sponson for Boat 2, following the incident on 18th November 2022 when a submerged log was struck during a timed run. Fortunately, the craft was brought to a halt without further damage and the buoyancy bags prevented sinking.

The next round of Testing begins on 4th December and will include sessions for the Name Sponsor to organise promotional filming and interviews.

Meanwhile, in the London Atelier, work is well underway in the opening phases of projects in Portugal, Germany, Croatia, Italy and the UK. Separate sections of our Members' Website provide full details, including provisional walkthroughs.
