UPDATE FRIDAY 27 MARCH 2020 (9812)

With work now focussed on the upcoming Members' Event, the past week has seen the successful completion of all the communications systems which will enable live Hosting of the presentations in the UK and the USA, and testing if the streaming links are fully working. Details of how to receive the broadcasts will be available on the Members' Wesbsite from 3rd April.

Also on the Website are the latest design studies for ongoing projects designed by the Team in the USA, Greece, the Caribbean and Portugal. These presentations include interactive walkthroughs at very high resolution, and for the first time an interactive audio channel has been added. Work is already in progress in Japan to enable this system not only to work via a suitable PC, but also via the upcoming Sony PlayStation console, due in November. Members at the Event should be able to see the PS5 version running on a Sony Dev Kit.

The premiere of "Giants" on the big screen has been deferred until the autumn, as have many other movies. "Harrow" is still scheduled for release in July.

UPDATE FRIDAY 10 JULY 2020 (9981)

This week the target speed was achieved by both the manned and unmanned versions of the craft, using just 85% of the available power. The reformulated fuel and upgraded AI were the main reasons for this achievement being possible, coupled with perfect weather conditions, but it was superb teamwork that made the largest contribution. The Name Sponsors were present to witness the unofficial record, and are now finalising the livery which the Boats will display during the Official runs in 2021.

Our Members' Website carries a full report and an exclusive interview with Team Leader Certa Cito.

Details of our Autumn Members' Event are now posted on the Website, and early bookings are recommended. Suggestions for the Seminar Events are invited, ideally by the end of July.

UPDATE FRIDAY 7 AUGUST 2020 (9995)

Tests have now been conducted at 90% power with the manned craft, and 95% with the remotely controlled version. The measured mile times were better than forecast in both cases. The calm weather has provided ideal water conditions, but the higher air temperatures have led to issues with the thermal cooling of the equipment bays. Overall, work is on schedule for the first 100% runs to be conducted in mid September.

The Season One outline for 'The Circuit' is now posted on our Members' Website, and comments are invited. Please ensure that these are submitted by the end of August.

Preview responses to 'Harrow' have been very promising. The final edit will be screened at the October Members' Event. A rerun of 'Giants' is also planned for those who were unable to attend the viewing in the USA in April.

As the Team prepares for the high speed runs in September, all six engines have completed their deep overhaul and upgrading, and software updates have been given their final testing. It is expected that the unmanned Boat will be the first in the water, with the manned version one week later.

Meanwhile, as Europe reopens to some degree, three new projects in Croatia, Cyprus and Greece have begun construction. Projects in the Caribbean are proceeding, but those in the USA are unlikely to break ground before 2021.

Exciting news about the TV proposals for "The Circuit" is imminent
